Sunday Roast: Prime Rib Perfection

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole prime rib roast (3-4 bones)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)
  • Olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Roast: Rub the roast with olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  3. Roast: Place the roast, bone-side down, in a roasting pan. Cook for about 2 hours, or until a meat thermometer reads 120°F (49°C) for medium-rare.
  4. Rest the Meat: Remove from oven and let rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
  5. Serve:Slice along the bones to remove them, then slice the meat across the grain.
