How to Cook the Perfect Steak?

Ingredients:

  • Your choice of steak (Ribeye, T-Bone, Sirloin, or Filet Mignon)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • Fresh herbs (such as rosemary and thyme, optional)
  • Garlic cloves (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Bring your steak to room temperature. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the Pan: Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat until extremely hot, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Sear the Steak: Place the steak in the hot skillet. Add butter, herbs, and garlic cloves, if using. Sear the steak for about 2-3 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish. Adjust time for your desired doneness.
  4. Rest the Steak: Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  5. Serve: Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
